Developers, Don't Settle

I want to take a moment to remind fellow developers (and myself) of one of the sentences that had the biggest impact on my life:

Never Settle

… For A Technology

That forces you to reinvent the wheel.

That brings more problems than solutions.

That limits you, instead of enabling you.

… For Complexity

That can be avoided.

That comes from premature optimization.

That doesn't model reality correctly.

… For A Job

That doesn't pay you well.

That is toxic.

That you don't believe in.

… For A Dream

That is not yours.

That doesn't include everything you want.

That is too small for the one life you have.
